Since 2002, Concert Properties' annual charity golf tournaments have been raising money for skilled trades programs in Toronto and Vancouver, funding valuable training programs for industries facing a potential shortfall of workers. With a widely reported shortage of skilled tradespeople across the country, Concert's ongoing charity initiatives have—since their inception—contributed over $2.3 million towards training programs in Ontario and British Columbia.

Each year, Concert hosts themed golf tournaments in Vancouver and Toronto, giving the company's industry partners an opportunity to have fun—often in costume—and contribute to their communities, with a specific focus on protecting the skilled trades jobs that form the basis of the development industry. This year, the two tournaments raised over $300,000 to support local training and certification programs, with the funds earmarked towards BCIT and Mission Possible in British Columbia, as well as George Brown College and Hammer Heads in Toronto.
According to Brian McCauley, Concert's President and CEO, “Concert has long since recognized the importance of skilled trades to the future of our industry, that’s why we have been committed to working with our industry partners to raise funds to support trades training since 2002. Today this issue remains more relevant than ever, as the strength of the Canadian housing market has put even more strain on the existing supply of skilled trades.”
