The newly-opened Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport Pedestrian Tunnel provides the first fixed link between the mainland and islands since a storm cut off the peninsula in the 1850s, serving travelers arriving and departing from the airport. In today's Photo of the Day, which was submitted to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool by Peter Crock, we are shown a creative view from within the tunnel. Captured in long exposure, this photo tricks the eye into seeing the moving walkway appear static as the tunnel moves around it.
