In contrast to the high-rise development common in Downtown Toronto, the housing demand of the GTA's suburban communities is still largely addressed with new low and mid-rise development. Under construction near Oakville's Trafalgar Road and Upper Middle Road intersection, Dunpar's Trafalgar Ridge is one of the newest low-rise communities taking shape in the region, offering 112 townhomes ranging in size from 1,940 ft to 2,800 ft².

The community is arranged in 11 blocks of three-storey towns. Work is currently furthest along at the northwest corner of the site, facing Lillykin Street. Here, two blocks of towns are now structurally complete and almost fully clad in a combination of red brick and custom natural Indiana limestone.

Structural work on other townhome blocks is now progressing towards the interior of the site, with the timber-frame structures of several blocks now rise above their concrete pad foundations. The image below reveals three different blocks in various stages of structural assembly, framed between the two nearly-complete blocks pictured above.

The first elements of public infrastructure are now on site, including the light standard shown in the image below. Taking cues from the traditional-inspired design of the town, the street lighting for the community features an old-fashioned aesthetic.

Trafalgar Ridge offers residents three-bedroom layouts and two-car garages, located a short distance south of Highway 407 and north of the QEW/Highway 403. Residents using public transportation are a short distance north of Oakville GO station via bus, connecting them with the surrounding regional transportation network.
