Community Forum to Look at Yonge & Eglinton Development

To foster greater community involvement in one of the most rapidly intensifying areas of Toronto, the City's Planning Division along with neighbourhood organization the Federation of North Toronto Residents' Associations (FONTRA) are hosting a public planning forum on April 16. The half-day event to be held at North Toronto Collegiate Institute will allow for discussion between city staff and local residents on infill-related planning and development issues. Residents will have the opportunity to get more information about ongoing planning initiatives at a Planners in Public Spaces (PiPS) kiosk, as well as the chance to participate in a number of roundtable discussions.

The event will take place on Saturday, 16 April 2016 between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, in Room 133 of North Toronto Collegiate Institute, located at 17 Broadway Avenue just northeast of the Yonge and Eglinton intersection. Activities will kick off at 10 AM with a presentation of current local planning initiatives titled "Planning 201". Four roundtable sessions will then be offered.

 •Harmonized Zoning Bylaw - Emerging Issues
 •Committee of Adjustment
 •Building Permits, Construction & Other Related Matters

The roundtable discussion sessions will be followed by a plenary sessions, and discussion on what comes next.
